BB: When you were a child how did you get your food?
LB: We caught a lot of fish. We also got clams and oyster from the beach at the North End of Galiano.
We hunted deer and bought other things at the North End Store. We went to Chemainus by boat where we would buy a whole wheel of cheese.

Remember when this was held? Last spring seems a long time ago but we have made great strides on our cook book. "Food

“I do have a food memory, and it's about lack of food. I was a child in the 1930's when there was a nasty depression, as we're having a recession now as they call it. But then it was The Great Depression.
